Great Barn is a family owned business. The farm where we grow barley for our beer has been in our family for over 40 years and had been actively farmed the entire time.
Casey Cramer is our brewer. He has over 10 years of professional brewing experience. He loves it all! The creativity, the science, and the engineering behind beer production. Our farm brew house is his playground. Casey gets fired up whenever he speaks about our brewing process, our brew house, a new recipe, and even our yeast harvesting program.
Great Barn Brewery is family owned and the first Farm Microbrewery in Bucks County, PA. Great Barn Brewery uses our own farm-grown barley and works with a local maltster, Double Eagle in Montgomery County’s Huntingdon Valley, to malt our grain. All of Great Barn’s products are grown in Pennsylvania soil, offering a pint paired with the message that we brew farm-to-glass beer right here in Bucks county - and we do it in an ecologically responsible way. We also partnered with a provider of clean wind power, Hello Inspire, for both our farm and taproom in New Hope, so our brews are made and served using clean energy. We try to source from other local vendors for our fruits, honey, and other ingredients whenever possible.
We are giving new life to our family-owned farm, we are working to revitalize the agricultural community, and we strive to support local hop and other produce farmers right here in Bucks County. We promote the bond between nature, farming, and brewing by creating distinctive beer that is truly a product of Pennsylvania soil.
